pastry pop-up card

Hey,friends!I am alishba nadeem.I am 14 years old and I love to do arts and crafts. From now on,I'll teach you to make fun things like cards,paintings,pop-ups etc.If you have any problems in making any things that I've shown in my blog or if you want to ask about any thing else, just give me the link and tell me your problem and I'll try my best to solve it.

craft no # 1:

Today is my mom's birthday and I,as being the artist of the family, created this card for her.Take a look:
As you can see,it is a pastry.I had a dark colored hard chart available but you can use any light colored one.But I daresay,it is looking beautiful. And it looks good in reality, too. But you have to do a little bit of hard work!I'll upload pictures of how I made it,too, but for now, here are detailed step-by-step instructions:
The pictures are given below the context with the step numbers.

Things you'll need:

  • chart
  • pencil
  • ruler
  • eraser
  • sharpener blade
  • glitter glue
  • white glue
  • paint brush to apply white glue
  • markers

Instructions:

  • 1: Cut two pieces of chart in the desired shape or size.
  • 2:Take one of the pieces and fold it in half and score it.Set aside the other one.It is for later use.
  • 3:Next,draw the shape of the pastry above the mid-line.You can also print it.The picture is given in the image section.
  • 4:Now,cut along the blue lines as indicated below.
  • 5:Notice the pink lines?Well, you'll have to score along these pink lines.Cut blue, score pink. For cutting,I used sharpener blade. So can you!
  • 6:Then,lift the pastry from the card as you can see in the original card picture.Score the part of the pastry which is attached to the card as shown.
  • 7:now take two strips of paper (for cherry and candle) and fold them in half and then in quarter.Open them up.Now you've got 3 lines. The two on the sides will stick on the surface of the card and the pastry. The function of the middle one is to pop-up when the card is opened, get it?
  • 8:Next,add the cherry and the candle and decorate the pastry with whatever you've got.I used glitter glue and lead(used for outlining in glass painting). You can use confetti, glitter, ribbons, markers etc.The choice is yours.
  • 9:As I said to cut two pieces of chart for the card,so now we'll use the second piece.Apply glue on that piece's back on which is the pastry and stick on it the other piece.
  • 10:Decorate the outside or front of the card and write desired message.
  • 11:You've created your very own pastry card!
